CDM celebrates Chinese New Year—with dragons!
It’s time to wish everyone a Happy New Year yet again. 2015 may have started back in January for us, but at the Creative Discovery Museum, the new year is just now beginning with its annual Chinese New Year Celebration.
This Saturday, Feb. 28, the Creative Discovery Museum will give children and adults alike a taste of Chinese culture. The event has been described as “a spectacular celebration of color, tradition, and dance that should not be missed.”
Start at lunchtime, when guests can cook fried rice in the Culinary Corner, and later do all sorts of activities, such as making paper lions and lanterns, reading books about the holiday, and from 1 to 4 p.m., you’ll be able to watch the Atlanta Chien Hong Lion Dance Troupe perform along with their martial arts group.
If you want your kids to learn more about another culture and expand their culinary horizons, don’t miss this astounding burst of life-changing fun! The events are free after museum admission fees. For more information about the event, visit them at cdmfun.org
