Our February exhibit, "Southern Spirit", features artists who have southern ties that concentrate on the ephemeral essence of nature and memory. James Conner captures an instance in time that evokes a sense of recollection or a returning to one's roots. With his sustainable baskets, Matt Tommey interlaces the complementary elements of the organic with the sculptural. Barbara Odil's figurative work is akin to a totem used by indigenous people to conjure respect for the natural world, walking through a wood and discovering something from the past. Opening Reception: Friday, February 7*, 2014 - 6:30-8:00 pm
