The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee presented by the Chattanooga State Theatre and Music Departments. The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is the hilarious Broadway musical about six middle school students with puberty filled dreams of becoming the next spelling bee champion. The Broadway production received rave reviews and won two Tony awards.
Music and lyrics by William Finn, book by Rachel Sheinkin, conceived by Rebecca Feldman, additional material by Jay Reiss. Directed by Jeffrey Parker. Musical direction by Travis Ellsworth. Choreography by Jennifer Arbogast and Paige Salter. Cast: Jennifer Arbogast, Bobby Burkich, Larry Cotton, L-Shanté Faunteroy, Jordan Guess, Rex Knowles, Kimberlin Lacy, Daniel Meeks, and Paige Salter. Stage manager Jeremy Wilkins.
The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is presented by the Chattanooga State Theatre and Music Departments one weekend only. February 28, March 1 and 2. Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm.
