Sponsored by The North Face, The Rock/Creek Women’s Trail Running Summit will bring together a dedicated group of female trail runners who share a passion for running, the outdoors, and the promotion of an active life-style in their own communities. The purpose of this weekend is for participants to inspire and learn from one another, foster new connections, improve female participation in trail running, and become ambassadors of the sport.
The weekend will be filled with exploring the trails in and around downtown Chattanooga, with runs to be held on the beautiful, lush trails of both Signal Mountain and Lookout Mountain.
Participants will be joined by The North Face ultra runner Diane Van Deren for Saturday's events. Diane will participate in Saturday's run as well as offer informational and inspiring seminars/clinics for the group.
The summit will be based out of The Crash Pad--a state of the art and eco-friendly hostel in downtown Chattanooga. Participants will have plenty of opportunities for an urban experience while, simultaneously, exploring the beautiful trails just minutes from their accommodations. Come run the Cumberland Plateau with The North Face and Rock/Creek!
The weekend will be guided by Rock/Creek race team members Dreama Campbell and Ginny Kelly with support from other Rock/Creek race team members as well as the staff and associated vendors of Rock/Creek.
