Heritage House Arts and Civic Center welcomes 4-time Academy Award nominee Peter F. Kurland to The Backlot: A Place for Film on February 16, 2015.
PRODUCTION SOUND MIXER PETER F. KURLAND will be discussing his role as business agent for Tennessee's main film craft union, IATSE #492, as well as relating his adventures over the past 25 years working his way up from boom operator to production sound mixer for Joel & Ethan Coen, Barry Sonnenfield, David Grovic, James Mangold and many other great directors.
Kurland’s credits include No Country for Old Men, Walk the Line, Fargo, O Brother Where Art Thou, the Big Lebowski, and Men in Black to name just a few.
Admission is free and open to the film loving public. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Food is potluck so please feel free to bring a dish to share.
