Experience World War II as the 6th Cavalry Museum and community volunteers present a day of living history and remembrance of our Armed Forces. The events will be held on the former parade ground – polo field of the Army Post at Fort Oglethorpe (1902 – 1946).
Two World War II battle re-enactments will be held on the parade field with authentic WWII M-36 Jackson Tank Destroyer, vehicles and Allied and Axis re-enactors. Enjoy the USO Show featuring Bob Hope, Rita Hayworth, Judy Garland and Betty Grable. A full day of activities, displays and living history await you at the 4th Annual Remembering Our Heroes.
Schedule:
11:00 a.m. – Opening Ceremony
12:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. – World War II Battle Re-enactments
2:00 p.m. – USO Show
Living history and military displays are available for viewing throughout the day.

Adults - $10
Active or retired military, seniors (age 65 & over), students (18 & younger) - $5
WWII veterans, children age 6 & under – Free
