‘UnBought and UnBossed’ recognizes Hamilton County women who through their career achievements or community leadership have had a significant impact in improving the lives of girls and women. Nominees must be women who have demonstrated that they are “determined, intelligent and audacious in (their) beliefs,” as Shirley Chisholm was once described.
The nomination process is open to the public. The final ten honorees are chosen by ten high school girls participating in Girls Inc.’s Women’s History Project- each girl selecting one woman that inspires her. The girls interview their chosen honorees and recognize them at the UnBought and UnBossed Awards Breakfast with an award and a special presentation. The 2012 breakfast will be Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at The Chattanoogan.
Start Date: March 28, 2012. Start Time: 7:30 a.m.
