A celebration of Appalachian Roots Music with three great bands, The Georgia Crackers, The Little Country Giants and The Groundhawgs. Calhoun GA was an important center for early country music in the 1920's, producing many pioneer recording artists, whose descendants continue this great tradition. Bands performing Saturday night represent the very best in traditional and contemporary acoustic entertainment, and have followings throughout the south and beyond. This is not Bluegrass, but much closer to the Roots of Country Music: Think of the film 'O Brother", and you will know.
