In celebration of the Hunter Museum of American Art’s "Monet and American Impressionism" exhibit, the museum is taking its ongoing “Artful Yoga” series out into the community with a special program at Warehouse Row. The free event will combine both yoga and art for a relaxing, holistic experience that engages the mind, body and soul.
The class will begin with an open discussion surrounding a reproduced art piece from the Hunter’s exclusive "Monet and American Impressionism" exhibit— with discussion guided by Hunter Museum Curator of Education Adera Causey.
Immediately following, Yoga Landing owner and popular instructor Jessica Jollie will lead attendees in yoga exercises, with live classical music and large-scale art projections of the Hunter’s impressionist collection providing a soothing, sensory-laden backdrop.
Participants are asked to bring their own yoga mats.
Note: space will be limited for the event, so we ask that attendees RSVP for the event by calling (423) 531-6977 or going to: https://clients.mindbodyonline.com/classic/home?studioid=28983.
