The Colonnade Players are pleased to announce auditions for “Disney’s Alice in Wonderland, Jr.”. Auditions will be held on December 17th and 18th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm in the White Oak Room at The Colonnade. Auditions are open to all youth ages 8 years to 18 years, provided they are currently students in elementary, middle or high school.
Please have up to 32 bars of any song prepared for the audition process. An accompanist will be provided. If you plan to sing with the accompanist (which is recommended, though not required), please bring the sheet music with the cuts marked for your particular song. Those auditioning will be asked to sing as well as do a cold reading from audition pieces that will be provided by the director at the time of auditions. Not all roles will require singing, but to be considered for any roles, those auditioning must audition with a song to determine the best fit for the cast.
“Alice in Wonderland, Jr.” tells the story of Alice’s adventures in the wonderful fantasy world she finds herself in as she curiously follows the White Rabbit down the rabbit hole. The colorful world and even more colorful creatures found there will be recreated on The Colonnade stage in February 2019.
Director, Constance Hester, along with Musical Director, Heather Craig, will lead rehearsals that will begin in January . Rehearsals will typically run from 6:00pm to 8:30pm on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings with extended rehearsal during tech weeks beginning January 26th. Performances will be held February 8. 9, 10, 15 & 16. Actors need to be available for all performances.
