Chattanooga Friends will present its fourth annual Bartender Brawl on Thursday, April 27 from 6 to 9 p.m. in Miller Plaza. The event is sponsored by 1885 Grill. The only competition of its kind in Chattanooga, this is a no-holds-barred, all-out fight to the finish between some of the best local restaurants and bars to see who can mix the best cocktail.
Bartenders from up to 12 area restaurants and bars will each present two delicious tasting-sized cocktails, and 1885 Grill will be providing appetizers for the event.
Competitors confirmed to date include:
The Fix Lounge
St. John's Restaurant
Matilda Midnight
FIVE Chattanooga
Big River Grille Downtown
Beast + Barrel
Hair of the Dog Pub
Mellow Mushroom
Alleia Restaurant
The competition includes an award for the “Spirit of Chattanooga”, chosen by a panel of expert judges including Amanda Niel of Easy Bistro and Main Street Meats. Additionally, one bartender will win a “People’s Choice” award, voted on by guests during the event.
In a new twist this year, the winning bartenders will be the featured bartenders at upcoming Scenic City Supper Club dinners. These pop-up dinners feature guest chefs and aim to shed light on Chattanooga’s emerging restaurant scene and its dedicated community of chefs, farmers, and producers.
Guests will enjoy live music from the Old Time Travelers, an old-time string band who also provided the entertainment at the past two events. Door prizes will be awarded throughout the evening.
Guests may try as many samples as they like, then vote for their favorite. Many will enter, but only one will be named champion!
Tickets may be purchased at bartenderbrawl2017.eventbrite.com.
Tickets are all inclusive (no drink tokens!):
Advance Ticket: $30
Day of Event Ticket: $40
Proceeds will benefit Siskin Children's Institute, Northside Neighborhood House, and Boys and Girls Club.
