Ripple Theatre is proud to present the Chattanooga premiere of the musical Caroline, or Change from November 7-23. The production is directed by Jessie Knowles, musical directed by Dr. Jennifer Arbogast, choreographed by Devante Williams, and stage managed by Carolyn Miller. Caroline, or Change is a blues opera with book by Tony Kushner and music by Jeanine Tesori. The story is set in Louisiana in 1963, during the heat of the Civil Rights era. Caroline Thibodeaux is a black woman who is a maid for the Gellman’s, a well-off Jewish family. Noah, the son of the Gellman’s, builds a strong bond with Caroline, which is tested by their racial, religious, and socioeconomic differences. The story focuses on the power we have to change the world, to change relationships, and to change ourselves. This production features L’Shante Faunteroy as Caroline Thibodeaux, Noah Huseman as Noah Gellman, Kaylor Bennett as Rose Stopnick-Gellman, Tiffany Bulloch as Emmie Thibodeaux, Erica Richardson as Dotty Moffett, and many other talented Chattanooga performers. The show runs from Nov. 7-23, and plays Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm, and Sundays at 2:30pm at Ripple Theatre, which is located at 3264 Brainerd Road.
