A TOAST AND ROAST HONORING LEONARD FANT
Celebrating “Firsts” is always fun! Please save the date and make plans to attend Chattanooga State Foundation’s Dinner of Firsts 2014 to be held on Thursday evening, October 23, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. The Dinner of Firsts is our signature “FUNdraising” event with a toast and roast honoring a community leader who is the first in their family to attend college.
This third annual dinner event will honor Chattanooga’s one and only Leonard Fant, with Grady Williams serving as event Chair. The youngest of nine children, Leonard was the first in his family to finish college. Those roasting Mr. Fant include James Rogers, Claude Ramsey, John Germ, Warren Logan, and Rhonda Catanzaro.
Our co-hosts for the evening are Presidential sponsors Keith Sanford from First Tennessee and Greg Vital of Morning Pointe. Dinner of Firsts 2014 will once again be held at the Chattanoogan, and we look forward to another sold-out event.
Proceeds of the event will fund the Chattanooga State Foundation’s First in the Family Scholarship for first-generation college students attending ChattState full-time. This year more than 5,000 of our 11, 537 students were the first in their families to attend college.
