Master Gardener Bertha Livingston loves working with children. Over the years, she has created the Children’s Area at both the MGHC Garden Expo and the MGHC exhibit at the Hamilton County Fair. She enthuses, “Bring the children in your life for a morning of fun learning about all things gardening! We'll have a variety of hands-on activities designed for children of all ages, including demonstrations, information about bees and butterflies, soil and seeds, plus, painting activities and games. We know that children have a natural curiosity about nature. Seeing a garden’s wonders through a child’s eyes is a joy to share. If you have children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, or a neighborhood child that loves coming into your garden, share your passion with them. Get them out into the sunshine and open those very curious minds to a whole new world they will never forget.”
Children in the Garden! is a free class presented by the Master Gardeners of Hamilton County (MGHC). Advance registration is required. To register for this class, contact the MGHC Education Committee: education@mghc.org. Please include your name, email address, phone number and names and ages of the children attending.
