Citywide Easter Celebration
to
Warner Park 1254 East Third Street , City of Chattanooga, Tennessee 37404
The City of Chattanooga’s Department of Youth and Family Development (YFD) is proud to once again host its annual Easter Celebration and Easter Egg Hunt at Warner Park. This year, YFD will provide 50,000 candy-filled eggs for ages 0-12 to hunt, along with several other free activities.
In addition to the 50,000 eggs up for grabs, YFD and supporting faith-based organizations will provide numerous family activities, including music, 15 face painters, dance, several moonwalks, games, arts and crafts, food, optional Easter Service for youth, a visit with the Easter Bunny, and much more. Several prizes will also be awarded for those who find the “golden eggs” placed throughout Warner Park fields.
Gates will open at 6pm, and line up for the egg hunt will begin at 7pm, with the “hunt” taking place soon thereafter. This year groups will separate by ages, including 0-3, 4-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12. Each group will be assigned a specific field in which youth will gather eggs.
Chattanooga Youth and Family Development (YFD) will also include a large emphasis on education, one of it’s 5 Areas of Focus, by providing reading areas, along with hundreds of free books given away to youth and families. Information about free after school programs, homework help and tutoring will be available, as we help create smarter students and stronger families in Chattanooga.
