Creative Discovery Museum invites children and families to a Civil War commemoration event on Saturday, September 21, 2013 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Learn what it was like to be a child in the Civil War in the wildly popular and newly extended Magic Tree House Traveling Exhibit. A living historian will portray Civil War Nurse Kate Cumming and interact with guests in the Civil War field hospital. Children will also be able to take part in Civil War era games and learn dances from the Civil War period, such as the Virginia Reel. This special celebration is made possible in part by the Chattanooga History Center.
