Chattanooga State Foundation proudly presents Dinner of Firsts – A Golden Celebration! A combined event celebrating ChattState’s 50 years of service to our community and honoring our friend, John Germ. John is a first generation college graduate and a charter member of the Chattanooga State Foundation Board since 1977. Those roasting John include Zach Wamp, Patsy Hazlewood, Dan Johnson and Harry Fields.
This fourth annual dinner event will be on Thursday evening, December 3, at the Chattanooga Convention Center, with Edna Varner serving as Event Chair. We are honored once again to have Keith Sanford, Market President of First Tennessee Bank, and Greg Vital, President and CEO of Independent HealthCare Properties & Morning Pointe, as our presenting sponsors and evening co-hosts.
Proceeds of the event fund Chattanooga State Foundation’s First in the Family Scholarship for first-generation college students. Nearly half of our 10,477 students are the first in their families to attend college. Earnings from the past two years have generated more than $112,000 to fund 56 students with First in the Family Scholarships.
