Townsend Atelier is teaming up with the Hunter Museum of American Art during its exhibition, Go Figure: Selections from the Permanent Collection. More than any other subject, the figure has the potential to express profound ideas and emotions. Join Thomas Caleb Goggans as he guides you in painting the figure with color, gesture, and composition to evoke mood and meaning. This exciting workshops kicks things off on Thursday evening at the Hunter Museum where Caleb will lead a gallery talk exploring the connection between meaning, form, and application, followed with a drawing demonstration working from the live model.
Gallery talk and demo is free to workshop participants and museum members. General admission is $9.95. This project is co-presented by Townsend Atelier and the Hunter Museum of American Art.
