One of the Performing Arts League’s most exciting fundraisers is the ‘HeARTs 4 the Arts’ Fashion Show and Luncheon on Thursday, April 14, at the Chattanooga Choo Choo’s Imperial Ballroom from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Anna Ball White, Frankie & Julian’s and Yacoubian Tailors will present the latest spring fashions modeled by some of Chattanooga’s outstanding women. A Baubles Boutique with a stylish array of fashion accessories will be open before the gourmet luncheon is served. During the luncheon there will be drawings for door prizes. This fundraiser supports scholarships and other programs for the youth of the Chattanooga performing arts community.
“It is so gratifying to help the youth in our community follow their dreams in the four arts: theatre, orchestra, dance, or instrumental or vocal music,” said Sheryl Dodson, Chair of the Ventures Committee. The Performing Arts (PAL) holds several fundraisers which help provide scholarships and grants for tuitions, summer programs, camps, and workshops to support young people in the arts, the PAL’s mission. In October PAL sponsored the Sunday Showcase of the Arts for young people in dance, theater, and vocal and instrumental groups. Over 40 different groups participated including the Chattanooga Theatre Center’s Youth Theatre, Chattanooga Ballet, and the Chattanooga Symphony and Opera Youth Orchestra. In January a vocal competition was held showcasing local high school individuals. In both events winners were awarded scholarships for pursuing their talents.
Tickets are $60 per person of which $40 is tax deductible. Please RSVP by emailing email@example.com or calling 423-622-2425.
