Do you like this?
Hearing Junior Brown for the first time is one of those jaw-dropping experiences you’ll never forget. My first opportunity to hear him live was at the National Folk Festival, now some 20 years ago. Junior tears it up on his “Guit-Steel” (a double necked guitar and lap steel hybrid), sounding like a Jimi Hendrix of country/rockabilly… plus whatever other styles he feels like throwing in the mix, ’cause he can do it all. He’s had duets on record and video appearances with everyone from Hank Thompson and George Jones to The Beach Boys and Stone Temple Pilots. The guy is a master and a force of nature. And you can hear him at Barking Legs, which may never be the same! Junior Brown’s website. Barking Legs Theatre, 1307 Dodds Ave. (423) 624-5347, barkinglegs.org
