The American Cancer Society, along with Blue Orleans Seafood Restaurant in downtown Chattanooga, is hosting the inaugural Mammo Gras on Thursday, February 27, 2014, from 6:30pm until 9:00 at the Blue Orleans Restaurant. This event is a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Chattanooga that will be held this fall on Sunday, Oct. 5, at Coolidge Park. Mammo Gras is going to be a night to have fun, enjoy authentic New Orleans fare, and raise awareness and funds to help end breast cancer. By supporting this event you will be supporting the Society’s efforts to find cures and support programs and services for everyone facing this disease.
Jill Woodruff, community events manager for Chattanooga’s American Cancer Society, is excited about this exciting event. Cherita & Chef Michael Adams, owners of Blue Orleans, have planned a spectacular menu that is sure to capture the spirit of Mardi Gras right here in downtown Chattanooga. “The Big Squeezy” buffet, a play on “The Big Easy,” includes New Orleans Jambalaya, ’Nawlins Chicken Pasta, Crawfish Fritters with a Creole remoulade, and more. Athens Distributing, Carter Distributing, and Chattanooga Coca-Cola Bottling Company have also pitched in on the fun and are providing beverages for the event. Chattanooga Pints & Pedals is also partnering with the American Cancer Society for Mammo Gras.
The battle against breast cancer is not one the American Cancer Society can win alone, so please bring your friends and family and your Mardi Gras masks and beads and be a part of Chattanooga’s inaugural Mammo Gras at Blue Orleans Seafood Restaurant, located at 1463 Market Street.
