About the Classes:
Old school art and science still wow the modern masses! In this class you will be introduced to the history of photography, taken through all of the steps to build your own pinhole camera using re-purposed goods (namely an oatmeal container, and a soda pop or beer can) guided through the process of taking “pictures” using your handmade camera, and then developing them into prints in the darkroom.
This class is a 2-parter! $33 Gets you in to both!
Class 1 on October 20: Making the camera (we'll learn all about the history of photography and build your own camera)
Class 2 on October 27: Using the camera (we'll be using a dark room to develop YOUR photos!)
All supplies will be provided, however if you have a soda can or oatmeal container sitting in your recycling can, bring it along!
We might even add an additional session of photographing & development in which you will learn how to make a reverse image (“positive”) of your “negative” pinhole prints to create a unique art piece.
