Restorative Sound Concert
to
Center for Mindful Living 1212 McCallie Avenue, Chattanooga, Tennessee 37404
Sound waves have been shown to alter brainwaves and lead to deep mental and physical relaxation. As our brain, heart and mind are connected, consciously relaxing one of these can help to relax the entire system. Music has been used throughout history to help achieve these effects. Sound Therapy is a meditative and relaxing therapy that has the ability to affect us not only emotionally, but also to affect our states of being, consciousness and our brainwaves. Many find such sound sessions to be centering and balancing of mind, body and spirit. Experience these and other benefits of therapeutic sound as Jon and Robin use music and sound to bring participants to a place of relaxation. Instruments may include classical guitar, handpan, singing bowls, Native American style flute, and a variety of textured sounds such as chimes, rain stick, monochord, and gong. Join us for a unique experience of the healing power of sounds!
