ARC: Artist Residency Chattanooga, in partnership with En Root House, is extremely proud to announce the Grand Opening Reception for the first resident artist Ryder Richards. Please join us for First Friday, November 4th, from 5:30 - 8:30pm at the Swine Gallery for the opening of "Lookout," an exhibition of new work created during his visit to Chattanooga. The artist will be in attendance to talk about his work, and will be giving a lecture at 6:30pm. Light refreshments will be provided and opportunity to talk with the artist and ARC staff about the exhibition and program. Tickets will be available closer to the event.
We are ecstatic to have Ryder Richards as our first visiting artist this fall. The Texas-based artist received his bachelor of fine arts in painting and drawing from Texas Tech University, with a master of fine arts in painting from Texas Christian University. His work has been exhibited internationally including Olm Space, Switzerland; Antena, Chicago; the Texas and Dallas Biennials; and the Dallas Museum of Art.
