The Symphony Orchestra from Southern Adventist University presents a fall concert on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at the Collegedale Seventh-day Adventist Church. The concert will feature the “Overture from The Abduction from the Seraglio” by Mozart, Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 35, and Dvorak’s Symphony No. 6 in D major, Op. 60.
The Violin Concerto will feature local violinist Josh Holritz, Assistant Concertmaster of The Chattanooga Symphony and Opera. Josh has performed as soloist, orchestral, and chamber musician in Canada, England, Austria, South Africa, Japan, and in more than 20 states around the continental United States. He holds a B.M from University of North Carolina School of the Arts, a M.M. from the University of Minnesota, and a D.M.A. from the University of Georgia.
