The Craftworks Foundation announces The 23rd Annual Southern Brewers Festival to be held on Saturday, August 26, 2017, 2 – 10pm on the Chattanooga Riverfront in downtown Chattanooga. This year’s festival will feature over 35 microbreweries and will show case over 100 handcrafted lagers and ales including several new to the Chattanooga area.
In addition to the vast variety of craft beer selection the Southern Brewers Festival will feature live musical acts and new to the festival this year will be a kid’s zone area.
THE MAGPIE SALUTE is an exciting new band created by Rich Robinson that features musicians who have played together for decades throughout various projects and share a musical bond. The Magpie Salute marks the reunion of the Robinson and Ford guitar team which ended back in 1997.
CEREUS BRIGHT was born out of a blind love of playing music. Founding members Tyler Anthony and Evan Ford from Knoxville TN, connected over a shared passion–connecting with people by writing and performing meaningful, melodic songs.
HANK & CUPCAKES are an Atlanta-based indie rock-pop duo formed in 2008 in Tel Aviv, Israel. The group consists of husband-and-wife Ariel "Hank". They draw inspiration from the events of their life with nonstop movement, graffiti, and art. Their musical style is combining heavy drumming with funky disco riffs and synthpop elements.

Proceeds to Benefit:
This year’s festival will benefit the local non-profit Chattanooga’s Kids on the Block (CKOB) and regional charity CraftWorks Foundation. Fifty percent of the festival’s proceeds will directly benefit children and families in our community through CKOB whose mission is to educate children on social concerns and differences, giving them the skills to stay safe and healthy. The other fifty percent of the proceeds will benefit CraftWorks Foundation, which is the charitable arm of CraftWorks Restaurants & Breweries whose aim is to positively impact their team members and the communities where they operate.
