Tailor of Gloucester
Chattanooga Theatre Centre 400 River Street, City of Chattanooga, Tennessee 37405
Our concert adaptation of THE TAILOR OF GLOUCESTER brings Beatrix Potter's charming story to life through music and words in an evening of holiday entertainment set for Saturday, Nov. 24, at 7 p.m.
It's the story of an old tailor who must make a coat for the mayor of Gloucester to wear for his wedding on Christmas Day. But he falls ill and cannot leave his bed. If he doesn't finish the coat, he is undone. Fortunately, he has some small furry friends who come to his aid in his time of need.
The book is by Grammy Award-winning music composer and CTC friend Michael Huseman and our education director Chuck Tuttle. Music and additional lyrics are also by Michael.
The production, which was first performed last year, presents age-appropriate content and time sensitivity for the youngest of audiences.
Tickets are available at the box office at 423.267.8534, online at TheatreCentre.com, or at the door.
