HELP US END BREAST CANCER NOW: Komen Race for the Cure Chattanooga combines Breast Cancer Fundraising with Festival-like Komen Village designed to Celebrate Survivors and Partners
What: The Susan G. Komen Central Tennessee Affiliate has only two Races for the Cure left this season to give Komen supporters the opportunity to be part of the solution to end breast cancer. Join hundreds of us for both events to raise funds, bring awareness, celebrate cancer survivorship and honor those who have lost their battle to the disease.
Who: Komen’s Race for the Cure is a key fundraiser for our Komen Central TN Affiliate which leaves up to 75% of all monies in the region the Race for the Cure is held. 25% of these monies go to Research Funding to find better treatments and cure breast cancer.
Why: To end breast cancer forever. The Susan G. Komen Foundation is second only to the U.S. government as the largest source of funding for breast cancer research in the USA. The Race for the Cure is the largest series of 5K runs in the world. Komen is on the leading edge of breast cancer research that is saving lives. This is why we run. One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. Komen is fighting to reduce that number.
Who should attend: These Komen Race/Festival events are family friendly! We invite corporations, teams, churches, and individuals to Register, Run, Walk, Dance, and Cheer the runners and help save women’s lives. This event is unlike other races. It’s a festival so Come Pinked Up! Costuming, shopping, food and celebration are huge parts of the fun. Komen Race Village is free admission. But to get involved call to volunteer.
