The story follows one Christmas in the life of a girl who participates annually in the church Christmas Pageant. Except this year's pageant is different. Not only is the director of the pageant laid up with a broken leg, but the Herdmans have joined the cast. The Herdman's are the kids from "across the tracks" who are mean and ruthless and bully the other children at school. With rehearsals underway, the pageant seems doomed to fail. But of course it doesn't. This touching and heartwarming play will make your laugh, smile and feel good about the Christmas season.
