MODERN MEASURE
Modern Measure is a hybrid electronica project like no other. Kyle Holly (Drums/Production) has been surrounded by music and live performance his entire life. Growing up in an enriched musical environment, he learned about the nature of music, drumming, and creating from a very early age. Bobby McAlister (Production/Keys) is no different. The musical approach taken by McAlister is quite unique. Starting as a guitar player, his interests slowly became engulfed with synthesizers and music production. The two have been performing together in various projects for six years. Now, they have joined forces again to create something unique and fresh, drawing inspiration from their own experiences. The Modern Measure sound combines elements of hip hop, downtempo, drum and bass, glitch hop and all types of bass music. Using a combination of live instruments and hardware controllers, the music is remixed and rearranged on the fly for a true live experience. MM brings a super fresh mix of sounds to get the crowd hyped, while creating a positive environment for listening and experiencing. It truly is all about the live music experience created within MM.
