Chattanooga Unplugged simmers and soothes
One of the best places in town to be on Wednesday, May 14 will be Rhythm & Brews for Chattanooga Unplugged, featuring three outstanding local bands.
By now, most music lovers know Endelouz, with its self-described “soulful rhythms and jangling pop melodies tinged with elements of old-school R&B.” Jack Kirton, Joseph Berkley, Dennis Hubbard have just released the new EP New Southern Manifesto, so what better time and way to get your first taste, at least of the acoustic versions?
Joining them is Scarlett Love Conspiracy, “charismatic and energetic acoustic rock sprinkled with folk and Americana.” According to the band, “It’s all about feeling good and having a good time.” Sounds like a fine Wednesday night to us!
And last but definitely not least is pride of Dalton, GA CathLena, originally formed as an acoustic duo but now up to…well, more than two. CathLena’s been playing Atlanta on a regular basis to good receptions, so if they’re new to you, this would be your chance. The band describes themselves succinctly: “We. Love. Playing. Music. End of story really.”
