Wrestling and Rock turn up the heat at JJ's Bohemia
This Friday and Saturday, Oct. 15 and 16, JJ's Bohemia is proud to announce the return of WrestleHemia. That’s a contraction of Wrestling and Bohemia, of course, and not “Wrestle Hernia” as I first suspected (although that isn’t being ruled out as a possibility.)
This consistently popular event has sold out every year since its inception. Hearkening back to the heyday of the WWF in the early to mid-eighties, WrestleHemia combines live rock and roll with bone crushing wrestling in an orgy of sound and fury sure to please the whole family (as long as they are 21 and up.)
Each night will feature an opening band followed by a full card of wrestling, and then a closing band. Friday night will showcase the music of Powers and Buffalo Princess, Saturday night the tunes will be provided by Genki Genki Panic and Mother Nurture.
The wrestling talent comes courtesy of New Reality Wrestling, well-known for their appearances at The Honest Pint’s St. Patrick’s block party and Thunder Creek Harley-Davidson’s Battle of the Bands competition.
Local comedy legend Ryan Darling will be on site along with Bryant and Tony Levi and members of the Subterranean Cirqus are expected to make an appearance as well.
