Go inside the world of canyoneering without leaving your chair
Bike in, walk in, ride in and bring your own camp chair to downtown Chattanooga's Center Park for a free screening of "Gorging: Let's Go Canyoneering", a film about the dangerous and enticing sport of canyoneering.
"Gorging" is an adventurous look at canyoneering, the sport of exploring canyons by means of hiking, swimming, climbing and rappelling.
Faced with a new era of off-the-couch recreationalists, three influential pioneers, a canyoneering instructor, photographer, and guidebook author each respond to a growing interest in the dangerous activity.
A tale of adventure and risk, "Gorging" employs the story of canyoneering to examine larger questions about the pursuit of thrills and the consequences that follow.
Hosted by the Lookout Wild Film Festival and the River City Company, and organized by the always very busy (and fun) folks at Outdoor Chattanooga.
