Jack of Jack’s Chattanoggins is a determined eighth grader, and he’s helping give childhood cancer the ol’ one-two punch, one shaved head at a time. This goes beyond shaving your head to help comfort a loved one who has lost their hair from chemotherapy: Jack raises money doing this—a lot of money.
Here’s how it works: Sign up to become a Shavee, then get to work accruing pledges and donations from friends and family members eager to see you with a shaved head. Then it’s time to lose the locks at the Market. That’s it! All proceeds go to the Children’s Hospital Foundation at Erlanger.
Jack is hoping to raise $40,000 this year, so if you’ve ever had the random urge to shave your head (and even if you haven’t), now is the perfect time.
Visit jackshaves.org to sign up or to make a donation. The next Shave will be Sunday, June 9 at the Chattanooga Market.
