American Queen: WTCI Presents History on the River
WTCI-TV, Chattanooga’s PBS station, is hosting a fundraising event on the largest steamboat ever built.
The event will celebrate the new documentary Death and the Civil War with a tour of the American Queen, a seated lunch, a meet and greet with acclaimed American Experience producer Mark Samels and a preview screening of the documentary. Death and the Civil War will air on WTCI on September 18.
Guests attending the WTCI event will enjoy the preview screening in the grand saloon of the opulent steamboat, a room modeled after Ford’s Theatre in Washington, D.C. Tickets to the fundraising event are $250 per couple and are a tax-deductible donation to the PBS station.
Please contact Debbie Thomas at 423-702-7814 or at dthompson@wtcitv.org for reservations. Seating is limited.
