About the show:
The Salvation Army's 614 Corps' ReCreate Cafe is producing an ambitious production of GODSPELL, conceived and originally directed by John-Michael Tebelak with music and new lyrics by Stephen Schwartz. This production will feature a blended cast of Actors from both the Homeless and Non-Homeless parts of the community. The production team consist of local theatre professors: Deborah Kirby, Director, from Covenant College; Steve Ray, Music Director, from UTC; and Gaye Jeffers, Producer, from UTC.
The ReCreate Café is a part of The Chattanooga Salvation Army 614 Corps' programming. The ReCreate Café's primary purpose is “to be a safe haven for the homeless during the day when shelters are closed, meeting physical, social, and spiritual needs without discrimination.”
