The Barnard Astronomical Society of Chattanooga will be holding a free New Telescope Owners Workshop on Saturday, January 5 beginning at 3:00 pm at the Clarence T. Jones Observatory in East Brainerd.
Anyone who has acquired a new telescope for Christmas, or just has a telescope that they are not quite sure how to operate, is welcome to attend. Members of the BAS will teach you how to set up your scope and show you how to use it effectively. Weather permitting, we will even do some star and planet gazing.
