Special Unveiling to mark William Shakespeare's 450th Birthday!

Join us for the historic unveiling of an exciting sculpture, to mark William Shakespeare's 450th Birthday! At five o'clock Sunday afternoon March 16, following the final matinee performance of The Taming of The Shrew, we'll have an al fresco reception featuring wine and hors d'oeuvres with special guests and entertainment (including a woodwind ensemble from the Chattanooga Symphony) as we unveil a life-size sculpture of the Bard by the internationally known sculptor, Lawrence Holofcener. The sculpture, Young William Shakespeare, commemorates the 450th anniversary of Shakespeare's birth as well as the Chattanooga Theatre Centre's 90th Anniversary and is the gift of Jo Coke, former president of the CTC's Board of Directors.
