The Summer in the City Gala is an event that is Licensed to Thrill... The American Cancer Society is hosting this year’s Summer in the City Monte Carlo Gala — James Bond style! It will be a party with a purpose, a fantastic night with the mission to end cancer deaths! The fabulous Magictones are not For Your Eyes Only, you can dance the night away to their music. Enjoy a real Casino Royale feel at the “just for fun” gaming tables! Terrific food, exciting silent and live auctions, and a classic martini lounge make this one-of-a-kind event a Chattanooga premier gala. As everyone joins together for a night of fun, the American Cancer Society will continue the real mission - to transform cancer from deadly to preventable.

More than half of all cancer deaths could be prevented by making healthy choices like not smoking, staying at a healthy weight, eating right, keeping active, and getting recommended screening tests. Even though the American Cancer Society encourages people to make healthy lifestyle choices that can help reduce their risk of cancer, ninety-seven Tennesseans will be told “You Have Cancer” every day. Your local American Cancer Society plays an integral part of spreading cancer prevention knowledge to those in the greater Chattanooga area. Now that’s a reason to party, so join in!
