
Stock up on books for yourself—not forgetting the holidays are around the corner—at the Friends of the Library Book Sale, ongoing through Sunday inside Eastgate Town Center, 5600 Brainerd Rd. Perhaps best of all is a chance to support Chattanooga’s growing literary scene by buying a signed copy of a book by a local author. Participating authors are donating 20 percent of their profits to Friends of the Library, which “supports library initiatives not funded by the city, including literacy programs, staff appreciation and development and projects for children and teens.” Sale hours are 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. Thur-Sat and noon – 6 p.m. Sunday.
