Variety show at BLT supports Chattanooga Cares
If you are a supporter of local artists, if you are passionate about the prevention of HIV/AIDS, or if you are looking for a unique source of uncensored entertainment this Friday night, come on out to Barking Legs Theater for “UnLeashed.”
“UnLeashed” is a dynamic variety show featuring performing artists from the Chattanooga area. The show benefits Chattanooga Cares in their local fight against HIV/AIDS.
Hosting the show is Marcus Ellsworth, a local writer, spoken word performer, and activist. Ellsworth has collected his favorite performers for this showcase. The show features LGBTQ (and other) artists performing original slam poetry, jaw-dropping dance, dazzling drag numbers, thought-provoking performance art, stand-up comedy routines, and live music.
Special guests include Erika Blackmon of PK. Poetic KamaSutra, Garrell Woods of Burlesque: 7 Deadly Fairytales, and Kevin Bartolomucci and Steven Disbrow of First Draft Productions.
Wonderland Chocolates will provide custom-made gourmet chocolates to please your sweet tooth during the show.
Cost is $10 at the door and all proceeds go to support Chattanooga Cares to fight HIV/AIDS. This show supports the annual fundraiser, Strides of March, a donation walk in Renaissance Park that will be held later this month to educate and raise money for the cause.
