Boy Scout's of America Friends of Scouting Annual Luncheon will be held Wednesday, February 29th at the Chattanooga Convention Center. Program begins at 11:30 am. Guest speaker will be Col. Richard A. Searfoss (USAF Retired).
As one of less than a hundred people ever who has actually commanded a human space mission, Colonel rick Searfoss speaks on leadership, teamwork and patriotism with authority born of in-depth personal experience. Searfoss has piloted two Space Shuttle missions and commanded a third, with over 939 hours in spaces and 5,800 hours of flying time in 71 different types of aircraft. His first spaces flight in 1993 set the record for the longest duration Space Shuttle mission. In 1996 he piloted Atlantis to the Russian space station Mir.
Join the Boy's Scouts of American February 29th as they celebrate the local Scouting programs. Proceeds benefit over 6,500 youth in the character-building, leadership and fitness programs of the Cherokee Area Council, Boy Scouts of America. Visit the website for more information.
