Cheer at the Pier, Lighted Boat Parade, Fireworks
Ross's Landing Park 100 Riverfront Parkway, City of Chattanooga, Tennessee 37402
Weekly Fig, Erwin Marine Riverfront and The Southern Belle are all family owned Chattanooga businesses with a passion for having community involvement. This year, each will have a combined effort in welcoming the Holiday season.
This year, members from each business met to create a plan that offers memorable family fun on land, on water and in the sky.
Weekly Fig (WeeklyFig.com) will organize activities at Ross’s landing presenting local vendors, Christmas tree and wreath sales, crafters and food trucks. At Ross’s Landing, Cheer at the Pier will feature photos with Santa and 98.1 The Lake and US101 will play Christmas music on their loud-speakers. Criders Landscaping and The Barn Nursery are teaming up to decorate Santa's North Pole Tent.
“We saw an opportunity to help support our ‘Buy Local’ scene while enhancing the overall Holiday experience for attendees. Since we have existing relationships with all-things-local, it just made good sense and we’re eager to help,” said Weekly Fig Co-Founder, Anju Wilson. Shopping, dining and visits with Santa begin at 5pm.
At 7pm the skippers of 40+ decorated boats will take the helm led by Marty Puryear of Erwin Marine Riverfront. “We’ll make a wide loop from the Olgiati Bridge all the way around the Walnut Street Bridge,” said Marty. Erwin Marine Riverfront still has some limited spaces for overnight docking.
The Grand Finale of the event will be a fireworks display presented by The Southern Belle and the 3rd Deck Burger Bar at Pier 2. Fireworks always make a memorable finish to a great event and the Reinert family, owners of the Chattanooga Riverboat Company, wanted to provide that to the community. If you want to ride the Southern Belle Dinner Cruise and watch the parade and fireworks from the center of the parade, tickets are still available but selling fast. You can also have a great view from the 3rd Deck Burger bar located at Pier 2.
