Chocolate Kiddo
Creative Discovery Museum will present the second annual Chocolate Festival, celebrating chocolate's history, lore, science and decadence. The Festival will take place Saturday, September 14 from 12-4pm.
The Chocolate Festival will feature several stations for hands-on activities. These include: making cocoa butter lotion; sampling three different types of chocolate; three kitchen classes using chocolate as main ingredient; truffle making demonstration and tasting; and a simulated environment where children will learn how chocolate pods are picked, fermented, dried, roasted, and blended to make different forms of chocolate. Children will also make a Jackson Pollack inspired chocolate expressionistic edible work in the Art Studio.
Artist support is provided through funding from Allied Arts of Greater Chattanooga and Tennessee Arts Commission.
