As Chattanooga’s largest evening holiday parade, this event is known for its dazzling Yuletide theme, featuring performing groups, marching bands, vehicles and floats strung in twinkling lights! This evening parade is a visual and audible treat. With dozens of volunteers walking along the parade route and handing out candy to all the kids, young and old, the evening is enhanced with various vendors along the route with concessions. Viewers line the street to see the final float featuring the Big Man, Santa, arriving with lots of pomp and good cheer. The parade in its entirety is taped for television and broadcast by Channel 3 (the NBC affiliate station) on the Saturday before Christmas.
