Chattanooga Scenic City Sickle Cell Corporation members and Board of Directors, National Coalition of One Hundred Black Women - Chattanooga Chapter, Brewer Broadcasting and Esince Management Services, LLC support the 1st Annual 1 Mile Walk or 5K Fun Run for Sickle Cell Saturday, September 14th at 9 a.m. at Booker T Washington State Park, 5801 Champion Rd. Chattanooga. September is Sickle Cell Awareness Month. There is a population of sickle cell clients in the Chattanooga community are undeserved, particularly those who have recently transitioned from pediatric to adulthood.
The Chattanooga Scenic City Sickle Cell Corporation aims to brand the education and awareness of sickle cell disease. The goal of the walk is to raise funds that will help the organization carry out its programs. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. The Chattanooga Scenic City Sickle Cell Corporation is raising support for htis event on Causeway.org, a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
