This ain’t your Mama’s home cookin’! Tupelo Honey Café located at Warehouse Row is not lacking in imagination. With a menu chock full of interesting renditions of Southern traditions, it’s not hard to tell this quirky eatery originated in Asheville, NC.
After conducting extensive market research, Tupelo Honey Café decided to expand their operation, and with overwhelming outpouring of interest on comment cards saying that Chattanooga was the place to be, the team decided to take a shot in the Scenic City. And they sure have made a splash.
Every single thing on the menu is made from scratch, from the appetizers to the entrées and everything in between. The Nutty Fried Chicken is a crowd-pleasing favorite; nut-encrusted, natural, hormone-free, chicken breast topped with milk gravy, served with smashed sweet potatoes and fresh asparagus. The menu lists it as memory making, but mind blowing might be more accurate. Is your palate craving something sweet? Try the Sweet Potato Pancake located on the extensive breakfast menu. Consisting of one large buttermilk pancake, flavored with cinnamon and sweet potatoes, topped with whipped peach butter and spiced pecans, this delicious disc is sure to satisfy any breakfast enthusiast. If you want to grab a drink to go with your meal, you’re in for a treat, Tupelo Honey Café has created a couple of cocktails featuring Chattanooga Whiskey, including a Blueberry Mint Julep and a Manhattan with Benton Bacon-infused Chattanooga Whiskey. Talk about yummy creativity!
There is a little something for everyone at Tupelo Honey Café. They have taken Southern traditions and spun them on their heads—and man, does that scramble taste wonderful.
