Music and fun for the whole family at Heritage House
In Chattanooga, there is always something going on outdoors. On Saturday, May 10, one such event is HubFest, a free festival that showcases local musical talent, small businesses, service organizations, vendors and sponsors.
Back for its eighth year, HubFest also supports Heritage Park, Heritage House, and Chattanooga’s parks system. According to organizers, “HubFest has grown with the support of many who believe a well-maintained park is in the best interests of the community.”
This year’s festival starts at 10 a.m. rain or shine, at Heritage Park in East Brainerd, and continues until 4 p.m. With a parade at 11 a.m., a presentation of the Colors by the United States Naval Sea Cadets at 11:30 a.m. and two stages of entertainment from local musicians and performers starting at 12:15 p.m., this year’s festival offers something for everyone.
Not only is there a range of performers taking the stage, from musicians to dancers, but HubFest offers activities throughout the day for children of all ages, including horseback rides, puppet shows, balloon animals, train rides and inflatables. Oh, and did we mention there’s food?
Heritage Park and Heritage House are located at 1428 Jenkins Rd., just off East Brainerd Rd.
