Alfred Hitchcock classic gets the big-screen revival
We all go a little mad sometimes. Haven’t you?
Fathom Events, Turner Classic Movies and Universal Pictures Home Entertainment invite you to relive Alfred Hitchcock’s 1960 psychological thriller “Psycho” on the big screen for a special two-day-only event on Sunday, Sept. 20 and Wednesday, Sept. 23.
Many (most) of us weren’t around when the film first came to theater and so missed out on what was, for the time, one of the most unexpected and truly shocking moments in cinematic history: the now-legendary shower scene with star Janet Leigh.
And not to be lost in all the surprise and shock of the classic murder scene is a career-defining performance by Anthony Perkins, whose tale of unrequited mother love still can make audiences squirm in discomfort.
