Local musicians gather to aid a deserving youth
This weekend the Pigeon Mountain Grill presents a free Songwriter Showcase featuring some of the hottest local talent in the region.
The show kicks off on Saturday, Sep. 13th at 10 a.m. and is absolutely free although they will be accepting donations to provide medical care for Brody Smith, a great young man who’s had a very hard time.
The list of performers includes such notables as Sweet Georgia Brown, Mark Cunningham, Vic “I’m Your Huckleberry” Burgess and a special appearance by the Real Bob Carty. Vic and Bob will both be auctioning off autographed guitars to raise money for Smith’s expenses.
The Pigeon Mountain Grill is located at 18381 Hwy 193 in Chickamauga, GA and is well-known for its ribs, burgers, wings and down-home country store vibe.
It’s just a hop, skip and a jump from the Walker County Fair, which is happening this same weekend. There’s no reason to miss any of the goodness of the fair or the really terrific free show which is, after all, for a good cause.
